Internet access across Cuba rose from an estimated 5-10% in 2015 to 40-50% in 2020, largely due to a ~5x increase in public Wi-Fi hotspots between 2016 and 2020  —  Cuba has been increasing Internet access, but the current digital divide grows, too.  —  As countless Cubans have proudly told me over the years, “Cubans invent.”
